West Yorkshire Brethren invade Grand Lodge

Over 100 Brethren yet again made the annual visitation to the Investiture meeting at Grand Lodge on Tuesday 9th June.

Embarking at Leeds, Wakefield and Doncaster, Brethren excelled in the usual manner that is traditional with our ‘friendly’ Order arriving in good time at London to further enjoy the pleasantries of the Capital.

West Yorkshire was again honoured with some outstanding and justifiable first appointments and promotions invested on this occasion the Most Worshipful Pro. Grand Master John Hale.

Three Acting Grand Ranks were conferred upon W Bro. Richard Puttrell as Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies, W Bro. Stewart Carley as Grand Standard Bearer and W Bro. Alan Oldfield as Grand Steward along with 10 other Brethren of which Leslie Allinson and Ian Wolstencroft are now qualified to the title of Very Worshipful Brother.

Afterwards, dining at the Freemasons Arms was an excellent festive board of braised steak and all the trimmings. The proceedings were curtailed as a pending tube strike was immanent however everyone arrived on time at Kings Cross to catch the returning train. Yet again, another excellent day to be well remembered all.
