Presentation of the P.G.M.’s Award to W. Bro. Alec Oldham

R. W. Bro. James Bennett Truswell, Provincial Grand Master, made a surprise but welcome visit to Dartmouth Lodge No. 545, on the 7th March 2012, to present W. Bro. Alec Henry Oldham, P.Prov.G.Swd. with the P.G.M.’s Award for outstanding service to our Province.

The P.G.M.’s Award is presented at the sole prerogative of the P.G.M. and only seventeen have been awarded since it was introduced R.W. Bro. James Bramley Morley, Past P.G.M., some years ago.

W. Bro. Oldham received the Award to the acclamation of all present. In reply, W. Bro. Alec stated that he had been surprised and honoured the Award, adding that this was one of the finest moments of his Masonic life. He now joins W. Bro. Guion Wood, P.A.G.Std.B. as the second holder of such an Award in Dartmouth Lodge. The P.G.M. later joined the Brethren for a delightful Festive Board.
