Installation at the West Yorkshire Mark Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge No.2018. 

Wednesday 8th June 2022.  The Pontefract Masonic Hall was the setting for its first installation after its Consecration in November 2021 and, was well attended.

The meeting was opened the Worshipful Master Worshipful Brother F. Lesley Davey.  The Brethren then stood in a few moments of silence to departed Brethren; the Assistant Grand Master Right Worshipful Brother Stephen Davison and Worshipful Brother David H Lees.  Various Lodge business was then dealt with including a successful ballot for 8 joining members.

A report was given the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies Worshipful Brother Andrew Brown which brought in the Provincial Grand Master Right Worshipful Brother James Steggles G.M.R.A.C. and Worshipful Brother Alan Corbridge the Representative of the Charity Committee.  W. Bro.Les welcomed both R.W.Bro.Jim and, the newly balloted for joining members, who formed part of the procession.  He then offered the gavel to R.W.Bro.Jim who took it and quickly returned it saying he was looking forward to beingshown how it should be done!

Worshipful Brother Graham Pearce was duly installed into the chair in a first class manner by W. Bro.Les.  The addresses also delivered by Brethren in a first class manner.  

R.W.Bro.Jim then presented Founders Jewels to founding members present and, in turn W.Bro. Graham presented R.W.Bro.Jim with his.  All other Lodge business dealt with the Brethren retired to the festive board.  

W. Bro. Graham thanked R.W. Bro Jim for attending the meeting. In his response R.W. Bro Jim told all about about the promotional video “The Magic of the Mark”.  It was to help give potential candidates an idea on what our beautiful order is all about. Going on to say he sees the Lodge becoming an integral part of the Province.  He mentioned the MC2 cycle challenge and the wonderful Masons who took part.  Brethren there is still time to support this event and of course in turn the Festival.  The Lodge gave a fabulous donation to the MC2 cycle challenge and the Festival.
