Cleeves & Whitehead Holiday to Blackpool

13th – 18th September 2009

A party of 40 Mark Masons, relatives and dependants enjoyed a 5 day holiday at the Sheraton Hotel, Blackpool, sponsored the Cleeves and Whitehead Trust. The holiday makers left Brighouse on Sunday 13th September and returned on Friday the 18th after a very enjoyable stay in the company and care of our Welfare Officers Judith Mann, Freda Buxton and Bro. Phillip Mann who, as always, provided sterling and very professional support throughout the holiday.

The holiday included two coach outings to Windermere and Keswick, and an added bonus was that the Blackpool illuminations had just been switched on. The Sheraton Hotel is right on the sea front overlooking the North Bay, Blackpool, so even those who were unable to walk very far had a wonderful view of the lights. We were also very fortunate with the weather and the sun shone for most of the week.

Charity Trustee Terry Dudley and the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Jim Steggles, and their wives, joined the party for Dinner on the Monday night. Smiles on the faces show just how much everyone was enjoying the holiday and an even bigger smile was in order when Mary Watson won £100 on the Bingo !
